About the Project
Patty Cakes Specialty Cake Co. required an order form for their business. With an order form being the center of this business, ease of use was the priority for its design. The products, descriptions, and names were provided, while the logo, layout, and design elements were the challenge in this project.
Through the Process
The esthetic for this project was designed around a pleasant pastry shop with a soft, vintage feel given to the artistic elements. The form would only be printed in grayscale, so all aspects were to work without any color. Research into cake frosting techniques made for tantalizing add-ins like rosettes and piping frills. All frosted aspects were applied with low opacity to convey their background placement and further add to their soft nature. Paired with the form’s grid structure ensuring easy flow, and multi-copy transfer paper, this order form makes for an enjoyable first step in ordering a tasty treat.
